Artist Bio

Jacqueline Berg has been designing and selling Jewish artifacts for over seventeen years. The progression from creating Challah and Matzah cover to hand made Tallitot, with stops in between working on other Jewish artifacts, seems to her a natural path in her artistic development that parallels her deeper understanding of Jewish history.

Traveling this path she has come to believe the Tallitot is the most important symbol of Judaism after the Torah. She believes the use of the Tallitot helps connect us with our fellow Jews and the Jewish community.

We may use it at temple services or at home and feel enfolded in and embraced by our people. When used with an appreciation of Jewish history, Ms. Berg believes the Tallitot can assist in the sense of remembrance so important to Jewish Life.

Jacqueline Berg has lectured at the Smithsonian Institute on her quilt work and has exhibited at numerous galleries in New York City and Southampton, New York. She has a background in Architecture and Interior Design
